For as long as he can remember, Joseph Kuhn has been drawn to the connection between people, nature, and wellbeing. With a background in environmental science and outdoor recreation, Joseph spent years studying how natural systems work — from endangered species and wetlands to the soil and water that sustain them. He earned his B.S. in Environmental Science from Stockton University and later a M.S. in Outdoor Recreation Management from the University of Florida, combining science with a passion for the outdoors and community wellness.
Before starting his own company, Joseph worked as a wetland scientist, helping protect fragile ecosystems and the species that depend on them. Outside the lab and field, he found himself organizing and supporting events in the cannabis and music worlds, where he saw firsthand how shared experiences can bring people together and create joy.
In 2018, Joseph and a close friend founded Whitehall Wellness, LLC, originally as an agricultural consulting firm to help farmers across Virginia grow hemp for CBD. What started as a consulting venture quickly became something more personal. Seeing how hemp could help people manage stress and feel better naturally, Joseph realized he had found his purpose.
From that inspiration came Mountain High Seltzer — a line of low-dose, hemp-derived products crafted to help people unwind, reconnect, and live more balanced lives. Today, Joseph continues to guide the company with the same mission that started it all: using nature’s wisdom and science-based integrity to support wellness in everyday life.
